Account and asset.
An account identifies the wallet context. An asset is identified by its network and, where applicable, its token contract. A ticker is a display label, not a complete identifier.
Authentication and session.
Authentication verifies access through the desktop flow. A session represents the browser access granted after the returned response has been verified.
Approval and confirmation.
An approval authorizes a particular action. A network confirmation records the result of a submitted transaction; the two should not be confused.
